Banded Rotator Cuff Strengthening

Minnesota baseball is well underway, finally……it felt like an eternity of snow. Minnesota is very unique for baseball players. The weather creates a chaotic spring/summer schedule with a ton of games packed into shorter seasons. This can be extra tough on elbows, shoulder, backs etc. Although we can’t control the weather, here’s what we can control.

Maintaining the strength of these key muscle groups:

· Rotator Cuff
· Scapular Stabilizers
· Forearms

At MVP Sports Rehab we commonly see baseball players with weakness of the rotator cuff, scapular, and forearm muscles as these muscles become fatigued from throwing. Keeping these muscles strong can have a positive impact on arm health, durability, and performance throughout a long season.

How can we help?

A few of the right exercises done correctly can go a long way. If you’d like further instruction on some convenient ways to strengthen these key muscle groups please give us a call or stop by!

Trivia answer: Fernando Tatis Sr. (former St. Louis Cardinal)

We appreciate you being a part of the MVP family
