‘Throw’-Back Thursday - MVP’s First Client.

“This is the best my arm has felt in 5 years.”

For this ‘Throw’-Back Thursday we highlight former MVP client Jimmy Lambert, a Major League pitcher for the Chicago White Sox (the cool side of Chicago). As a bonus we will share Jimmy’s warm-up routine we designed for him, which has helped him stay healthy in the big leagues this season.

I first started working with Jimmy at my previous job in Arizona, before MVP was established. Jimmy had suffered a forearm strain after coming back from Tommy John surgery. This forearm strain was significant, and his surgeon was unsure if he would make it back without needing another surgery.

Not only did Jimmy make a full return to Triple-A, but here’s what he said after working with him:

“This is the best my arm has felt in 5 years.”

A few months later he was called up by the White Sox and got his first Major League win. Currently, he’s a reliever with the MLB White Sox throwing 94-97 mph.

Jimmy reached out to me once MVP was established (he actually was our first client at MVP) because he knew what we had worked on in Arizona helped him stay healthy that season. He asked for a customized warm-up/pre-throw routine to keep his arm healthy and maximize his performance. You can view a copy of his warm-up routine by clicking the link below!

Not every warm-up needs to be this long or detailed. But we recommend these 3 pieces in every warm-up before throwing:

1) Mobility & Activation Phase

2) Body Temp Phase

3) J-Band Series

Looking to minimize your risk of injury and maximize your performance on the field? The right warm-up is KEY!

We appreciate you being a part of the MVP family!
